December brings more cold, shorter days, and frantic schedules. My studio time is not as plentiful and feels squeezed in between shows, meetings and other commitments. No new paintings have been started and completion of that one stubborn canvas seems an impossible goal. However, new ideas are beginning to emerge, sketches and reference photos created, and a sense of direction gained.

Outside my window, holiday decorations invite people to NOTO and into its businesses for warmth, shopping and friendly greetings. The last First Friday Art Walk of the year is the first day of December and we look forward to the crowds coming to see our art, braving the cold despite the early darkness and busy schedules!

"All of Us" is our annual holiday group exhibit! The artists at STUDIO 831 continue to amaze with new ideas and new work! Come see the results of artists sharing creative space infused with energy! Perhaps you might find something to add to your collection or give as a gift! Michael Bradley, Kathleen Cobb, Anne Kufahl, Diane Lawrence, Gwen McClain,Larry Peters, Tyler Quintin, Hi Stockwell, Lois VanLiew, Trudy Waterman, and Barbara Waterman-Peters are all included!
