Building A Business: Now I start to go out and talk with different groups in Topeka. I need to get the word out so the traffic to the website increases. I need to get more views and visitors so I can start making money. New businesses are never easy. Being single, makes it harder since I don't have the 2nd income to help. Working 75 to 80 hours a week and only getting paid for 30 of them, is exhausting. I just need to find businesses that see a value to the new website!! I also need more naps! :)

Voting: I love the fact that we can vote in advance. It took us like 7 minutes to vote. Now we get to sit back and wait. I am not sure where we are heading but I hope good things will come!
Rocker's Bonfire - This is my second time attending this awesome party! So many people gather to eat yummy food and socialize. I don't know many people that attend but that never stops me from meeting new people! I drove to KC following the bonfire since Frankie and I had tickets to the Chief's game on Sunday.
Third Chief's Game: Tailgating theme was breakfast so we made bacon wrapped tator tots! They turned out very good! We were so lucky to meet these wonderful people! They took us in like we have known them forever! The game ended with a win! The weather was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Then I got a message from my best friend since KINDERGARTEN that she was at the game! She lives in California! Last game I ran into John and this game, Michele! So many memories!
Substitute Teaching: Well the calls are coming in. In the past, I was just at McCarter but this year, I am going to a variety of elementary schools. All schools are different. To be honest, I don't really feel comfortable at all the schools. Some are just not as friendly as others. Being a substitute teacher you aren't just there to teach a class. You might have to go to a place where you haven't been, you don't know anyone and meet kids for the first time. There is so much more to this job. I like to meet people and not all schools make that easy. I figure it has to do with the stress of their job. My energy can be quite a shock to people. As you teach, you start to pick schools that are more accepting and realize that being a substitute isn't the easiest job. Going into a classroom and having to attempt to teach 15 to 25 new faces is not always easy. Many of them don't adapt to change well and trust me, a substitute is a change!
Wicked Wine Party: This is not my first invite but the first time I actually went. My friend Jodine hosts this party at her house. It is sort of like my Pot Luck dinner. She invites women from all different realms of her life to come and hang out! These are invites that I need to start making more time for! I didn't get there until later since I had to workout but I made it!
Lifestyle Changes- 2014 was a big year for me. I made quite a few big changes in my life. Eating healthier, going to the gym 5 or more times a week for an hour, wearing my hair down, wearing makeup when I go out, saying yes to getting out of the house when I had already settled in for the night. I also decided that I didn't need negative people in my life. I needed to focus more on me and my career. 2015 was the year to see how well I could stick to the new lifestyle. My eating habits was the biggest failure in 2015. I also let a few other things happen that I didn't like. This is why 2016 was going to be different. It started out slow but as the summer approached, things starting looking better. My eating habits however needed more work. I just love desserts too much! I successfully gained back about 10 pounds! Not everything in my life was making me happy so my depression was my excuse to eat late and eat crap! It wasn't until I turned 50 that I realized, I needed to get my act together! So for the month of November, I went back to my normal strict eating habits. In less than a month, I lost 2 pounds and 4 inches. I realize that when you get older, your body changes but I refuse to not at least try! My workouts have been amazing, I do something different every day.
Monday Beer Night- I don't really talk much about Ryan and I's Mundane Monday nights but we still do meet almost every Monday for a beer! Just to hang out and catch up for the week. We are about to begin year four. Time flies but I still look forward to my Monday night beer time! Now to find Ryan a girlfriend! LOL He has started working out again and is in a better mood. Life isn't easy and it takes so much work! We need friends to help us get through stuff. When you are single, friends are very important! I am blessed to have the friends I do in my life. They are always there! They are not always nice and rarely tell me what I want to hear but are honest! Those friends are hard to find. So here is to another year of Mundane Mondays!!
Fork & Screen: I finally got to see a movie. Chelsea highly recommended the movie Arrival. She was correct! What a great movie. It isn't a fast moving movie, but it made me say, WOW! Which is not easy to do! My friend Mike and I started at Johnny's Tavern for wings and then to the movie. We could have eaten at the movie but I was craving those stupid wings!
Movie Night: Following the movie I made a quick stop at Dollar General to grab the things I forgot in Topeka then headed to my other friend Tom's house for Tacos and more movies! He picked Mad Max Fury Road and my favorite John Wick! The next morning, we baked Mexican cornbread for the Chief's game. This theme was Mexican! We picked up Frankie and Dave and once and enjoyed another day of football. The Chief's didn't win but I still had an amazing weekend!
Home at Last Winter Open House: I have not missed one of Dan's presentations yet! This was another fun morning spent with friends! If you have not been to either Home at Last or the Kitchen Gallery in Fairlawn Plaza, you need to make sure you go! Plus there are TONs of cool shops in Fairlawn Plaza.
Fourth Chiefs game: After forgetting the tickets, we finally made it to the game! At this game the theme was Mexican food. I made Mexican corn bread! We enjoyed a few adult beverages before the game! The weather was awesome again! We lucked out this season!
Thanksgiving with Family and Friends: It is hard to believe that it is already this time of year again. We don't have a very large family but this year we had a few extra guests that joined our family for some really delicious food!
Cleaning out the Utility room - Just so you don't think that all I do is have fun, I wanted to let you see my November challenge. I didn't accomplish it all since I don't have the money to fix the wall but I did get the room cleaned and the floor painted! This was a huge task. Then I went through all the stuff and got rid of a lot of crap. Then I organized the left over stuff and will probably get rid of more, when I fix the wall.
High School Girls Christmas Party - At the beginning of 2016 I had our first gathering. Since then, we have had three other times we met this year. (We did other things but those didn't count as a gathering.) I had proposed to the girls that we try to hang out at least 4 or 5 times a year and we would switch off hosting. Our final gathering was at Dawn's house for a Christmas party! Mexican food, gifts, games, laughs and crafts made up another fun night with some amazing life long friends!
